Red Globe A dessert variety cultivated in the USA/California. It is a Vitis Vinifera, self-pollinating variety. Medium-late ripening period of 130-140 days. Medium growth with fairly good woodiness of the cane. Large bunches of 600-800g, conical, loose. Large and very large berries of 10-15g, spherical (34-30mm), pink-red or red. Flesh dense, crisp, simple flavour. High sugar content 16-18% with low acidity 4-5g/l. The variety is characterised by high fertility (75-85%). Disease resistance at the level of Vitis Vinifera average. Frost resistance to -18 °C. The Red Globe variety is suitable for amateur and commercial cultivation under cover. It is grown on a large scale in many countries around the world. It tolerates transport and storage very well.
