New!!! Krasień / Kiszmisz Krasień is a seedless grape variety for general use bred at the Magaracz Institute in Ukraine. It is a complex hybrid (Antiej Magaraczskij x Swierchrannij Bezsiemiannyj Magaracza) – PIWI type. Krasień is a self-pollinating variety with an average ripening time (125-135 days). Seedlessness class I-II. The growth of the bushes is moderately strong, with good lignification. The bunches are large and very large, 400-800 g and even up to 1.2 kg, conical with a wing, rather loose. The berries are round, 2-4 g, dark purple to almost black. The flesh is juicy, harmonious, rather neutral with delicate notes of nutmeg, very tasty, with dark red juice. The sugar content is very high, up to 30%, with low acidity of 7-9 g/l. The variety is characterised by very high yields of 80-90%. High disease resistance. Frost resistance -26°C. The grapes are used for fresh consumption as well as for the production of red table and dessert wines such as Kagor. The fruit tolerates transport quite well. The variety is suitable for commercial and amateur cultivation. Grapevines grafted "Krasień" are of best quality.
