New !!! Donetsk Ogoniok is a dessert variety bred in Ukraine/ A. F. Balabanov. It is a composite hybrid (Andriusha x Arcadia). Donetsk Ogoniok is a self-pollinating, early variety of 115-125 days, with moderately strong growth and good woodiness. The grapes are large and very large 600 -1000 grams, conical, fairly loose. Berries very large 12-16g, oval, long, with exceptional colouring, yellow at the base through dark red at the end dark burgundy, purple. The fruit is not prone to bursting from excess water. Flesh tight, crisp with a wonderfully harmonised flavour, very tasty. Sugar content very high at 17-19% with an acidity of 5-7g/l. Very attractive variety, both in terms of taste and appearance. Very high yield, 75-80%. Good disease resistance with frost resistance down to - 23°C. Fruit tolerates transport and storage well. Suitable for commercial and amateur cultivation. Grapevines grafted "Donetsk Ogoniok" are of best quality.
