New !!! Artu is a dessert grape variety bred by A.F. Bałabanow / Donetsk. Artu is a composite hybrid (Pierwozwannyj x Andriusza). Very early variety (100 - 105 days). Self-pollinating variety, strongly growing with good woodiness. Conical grapes, large and very large 500-700g, medium compact. Berries very large 12-16g (38x24mm) oval, maroon. Flesh fleshy juicy, slightly crunchy, harmonised, very tasty. Fruits do not crack from rain. Sugar content high 16-19% with low acidity 5-6g/l. High yield 85%. Resistance to diseases high with frost resistance of -23°С. Fruit tolerates transport and storage very well. The variety is suitable for the establishment of amateur and commercial plantations. Grapevines grafted "Artu" are of best quality.
