New!!! Faraon is a dessert grape variety bred by E. G. Pavlovskiy. It is a compound hybrid (Podarok Zaporozhye x Straszienskij). It is a self-pollinating variety, medium early 120-130 days. Growth is strong with good woodiness. The grapes are conical-cylindrical, medium compact large and very large 700 - 1500g. Berries are black-purple in colour, round large 34 x 31mm, 12-14g. The flesh is tight crunchy harmonised, very tasty. Sugar content is high 15-18% with low acidity 6-7g/l. Yield of the variety is high 80%. Disease resistance is good with a frost resistance of -24°C. The fruit tolerates transport and storage very well. The variety is suitable for the establishment of amateur and commercial plantations. Grapevines grafted "Faraon" are of best quality.
