New !!! Polonez - 50 is a dessert variety bred by O. M. Pisanka. It is a complex hybrid (Achilles x Legenda Aksai). Polonez - 50 is a very early variety of 105-110 days with strong growth and good woodiness. It is an open-pollinated variety (female flower) but pollinates very well. The grapes are large and very large 700 -1500 grams, cylindrical-conical, medium compact. Berries very large 14-16g, long (40 x24mm), egg-shaped or heart-shaped, dark pink, dark red, raspberry, with no tendency to burst. Flesh tight, fleshy juicy with exceptional harmonised flavour, very tasty. Sugar content very high 17-20% with an acidity of 5-6g/l. Very high yield 85%. Disease resistance good with frost resistance to - 23°C. The variety is very attractive to the trade for its taste, colour and berry size. Fruit tolerates transport and storage well. The variety is suitable for commercial and amateur cultivation. Grafted vines of ‘Polonez - 50’ are of the best quality.
