Nimrang is a dessert variety grown in Tajikistan. Synonyms are :Angur Kalon, Shirbandy, Krymski. Nimrang is an open-pollinated variety but pollinates very well. It is a medium late variety (135-145 days) with fairly strong growth and good lodging wood. The grapes are large and very large 800-1500 g and even above 2 kg, conical or cylindrical, medium compact. Berries are very large 10-12 g, round (25-27mm), white-yellow, yellow with pink blush in the sun. The berries do not burst with excess moisture and can hang on the bushes for a very long time. The flesh is fleshy, crunchy, harmonised and very tasty. The sugar content is high 17-18% with an acidity of 5-7g/l. Yield is high (75-85%). Disease resistance is very good and frost resistance to - 18°C. The fruit tolerates transport and storage well, even for very long periods. The variety is suitable for commercial and amateur cultivation. Nimrang grafted vines are of the best quality.
