New !!! Ajwengo is a dessert variety bred by E. A. Klyuchikov. It is a compound hybrid (Timur x Wostorg). Ajwengo is a medium early variety of 120 - 130 days. Strong growth with very good woodiness, self-pollinating variety. Cylindrical-conical clusters, medium compact very large 700-1500g to 2kg. Berries oval, milky white to yellow-golden with an amber blush from the sun, very large 12 -14g. Flesh fleshy and juicy, crisp with harmonised, very tasty. The variety accumulates a lot of sugar 17-18% with low acidity 6-7g/l. Fruits do not crack from excess rain. Yield of the variety high 85%. Disease resistance very good with frost resistance down to -24 °C. The variety has high commercial value. The fruit tolerates transport and storage very well. The variety is suitable for the establishment of amateur and commercial plantations. Grapevines grafted "Ajwengo" are of best quality.
