Galahad is a dessert grape variety bred at the Novocherkassk Institute. It is a compound hybrid [(Talisman x Wostorg) x Wostorg Muskatnyj]. Self-pollinating variety. The Galahad variety is a very early variety (90-105 days). Growth moderately strong with very good woodiness. Conical-cylindrical grapes, medium compact, large and very large 800-1100g. Berries oval, light yellow-amber 10 - 12g, 28 x 22mm with no tendency to burst. Flesh fleshy, very tasty harmonised. Sugar content high 18-21% with low acidity 6-7g/l. Yield high 75-80%. Variety has very high commercial value. Good disease resistance with frost resistance of -25°С. Fruit tolerates transport and storage very well. The variety is suitable for the establishment of amateur and commercial plantations.
