Jupiter / A 1985 is a dessert variety, seedless, bred in the USA / Arkansas . It is a compound hybrid (A- 1268 x A - 1762). Jupiter is a self-pollinating variety. Ripening season moderately early 120-125 days. Strong growth with good woodiness. Clusters of medium size (200 - 350g), conical, loose. Berries dark red or dark purple, oval or egg-shaped about 5-6g, 22 x 19mm. Berries are not prone to bursting. Flesh very tasty, juicy with distinct notes of fruit and muscat. Sugar content high 18- 20% with an acidity of 5 -6g/l. The variety has a high yield (75-80%) and very good disease resistance. Frost resistance down to -29 °C. The Jupiter variety is suitable for amateur and commercial cultivation. It tolerates transport and storage very well. Grafted vines of ‘Jupiter’ are of the best quality.
