New !!! Shamil is a dessert variety probably bred in Russia. It is a compound hybrid of unknown origin. Shamil is a self-pollinating variety, medium early 120 - 130 days. Strong growth with good woodiness. Conical grapes, branched, medium compact large and very large 600-2000g. Berries slightly oval, dark pink to purple, large 6-10g (30 x 23mm), no tendency to burst. Flesh tight, fleshy juicy, harmonised with delicate fruity notes, very tasty. The variety accumulates a lot of sugar 18-20% with low acidity 6-7g/l. Yield of the variety high 80%. Commercially attractive variety. Good disease resistance with frost resistance down to -25 °C. Fruit tolerates transport and storage very well. The variety is suitable for the establishment of amateur and commercial plantations. The grafted sapling of "Szamil" table grapes is of the highest quality.
