Walentina / Валентина - 5BB
New !!! Walentina is a dessert variety bred at the Potapienko Institute / Novocherkassk. It is a compound hybrid [(Wostorg x Arkadia) x Muskat Letni]. Valentina is a self-pollinating variety, moderately late maturing season (130 - 140 days). Growth is strong with very good woodiness. The grapes are medium tight, cylindrical, very large 1000 - 1500 grams. The berries are very large 12-14g, (37x 24 [mm]), oval, elongated, sometimes slightly curved, bright, yellow-golden, with an amber blush in the sun. The flesh is juicy, exceptionally very tasty, with a pleasant muszkat aroma. The variety accumulates a lot of sugar up to 17-19% with a low acidity of 5-6g/l. It has high commercial value due to its unique taste and attractive clusters. The variety has a 70-80% yield. Disease resistance good (resistant to powdery mildew) with frost resistance down to -24°C. The variety is suitable for both amateur and commercial cultivation. Fruit tolerates transport and storage well. Grapevines grafted "Walentina" are of best quality.
