Kiszmisz Mołdawski / Moldovenească Kishmish - 5BB
New!!! Kiszmisz Mołdawski / Zhuravel III-1-3 is a seedless dessert grape variety bred at the Moldavian Institute (authors M.S. Zhuravel, G.M. Borzikova, I.P. Gavrilov). It is a hybrid of Vitis Vinifera ( Pobeda x Kishmish Rozovyi). Kiszmisz Mołdawski is a self-pollinating variety with a moderately late maturation time (140-150 days). Seedless class - III (soft, empty seeds occur). Shrub growth is strong, with good woodiness. The grapes are large and very large 700-1500g and even up to 2.5 - 3kg, conical with a wing, rather loose. Berries slightly oval 4-6g, light purple to dark purple. The flesh is fleshy, harmonised, rather neutral, tasty. Fruit resistant to cracking from excess water. Sugar content high 18-19% with low acidity 6-7g/l. The variety is characterised by a very high yield. Disease resistance as with the more resistant Vitis Vinifera. Quite high resistance to Oidium and grey mould. Frost resistance of -21°С. Grapes are used for fresh consumption. The fruit tolerates transport and cold storage well (up to 180 days without loss of commercial value). The variety is suitable for commercial and amateur cultivation. Grapevines grafted "Kiszmisz Mołdawski" are of best quality.
