Etalon is a dessert variety bred by E. G. Pawłowski. It is a composite hybrid (Talisman x XVII - 10-26). Etalon is a self-pollinating, very early dessert variety (105-115 days). Vine growth is strong with good woodiness. Clusters are conical, compact, large to very large, weighing 800-1000 grams to 1.5 kg. Berries are large, weighing 8-12 g to 16 g (38 x 24 mm), oval, dark navy blue to black, with no tendency to crack. The flesh is firm, fleshy, juicy, balanced, and very tasty. The variety has a very high sugar content of up to 16-19% with a low acidity of 5-7 g/l. The variety is 70-80% productive. It is highly disease resistant and frost-resistant to -24°C. The Etalon variety is suitable for both amateur and commercial cultivation. The fruit tolerates transport and storage well.
