New!!! Ararat is a seedless dessert grape variety of unknown origin. It is a hybrid probably composed of Vitis Vinifera. Ararat is a self-pollinating variety with a medium ripening season (125-130 days). Seedless class - I (total absence of seeds). Shrub growth is quite strong, with good woodiness. The grapes are large and very large 600-800g sometimes even 1.5kg, conical, rather loose. Berries slightly oval (drop-like in shape), very large 8-10g, bright, white-yellow. The flesh is fleshy juicy, crisp, harmonised flavour, distinctly fruity and with an apple aftertaste, very tasty. Fruit resistant to cracking from excess water, can hang on the bushes for a long time. Sugar content high 19-20% with low acidity 5-6g/l. The variety is characterised by a very high yield. Disease resistance is increased at the level of more resistant Vitis Vinifera varieties and frost resistance is -23°С. The grapes are used for fresh consumption and for making very large and tasty sultanas. The Ararat variety has a very high commercial value - completely seedless, large and very tasty berries and large clusters. The fruit tolerates transport and cold storage well. The variety is suitable for commercial and amateur cultivation. Grapevines grafted "Ararat" are of best quality.
