New!!! Sugar Crisp / IFG Eleven is a seedless dessert variety bred in the USA. It is a hybrid of the Vitis Vinifera species. Sugar Crisp is a self-pollinating variety with a medium-late ripening period (145–150 days, in Italy; harvest September–October). It has fairly vigorous growth and good woody. The bunches are cylindrical-conical, moderately compact, large to very large (700–1500 g and larger). The berries are oblong, white-green, turning golden-yellow in the sun, large (around 20 mm long and up to 10 g in weight), and do not split after rain. The flesh is crisp, well-balanced and very tasty. One of the sweetest seedless varieties. High sugar content (19–21%) with low acidity (4–5 g/l). The fruit can remain on the vines for a very long time without losing its flavour or marketability. A very commercially attractive variety due to its appearance, flavour and lack of seeds. Very high yield of 85%. Short pruning to 2–3 buds is recommended. Disease resistance is on a par with Vitis Vinifera varieties; frost hardiness is down to –20°C. The variety tolerates transport and storage well. Suitable for both amateur and commercial cultivation. The largest commercial plantations are in California, Italy, Brazil and South Africa.
